This movie plays it smart. No endless speeches, no comforting explanations, just a slow pressure building around a disappearance so synchronized it’s basically insulting. If you like your mysteries tense and a little paranoid, you’ll probably have a good time.

„Weapons - Die Stunde des Verschwindens“ setzt auf dieses kalte, klaustrophobische Gefühl: Du siehst, wie aus Angst langsam Misstrauen wird, weil jeder jetzt irgendwo Beweise sucht. Wer ist dran schuld, wer hat gelogen, und vor allem: Wer oder was kommt überhaupt überhaupt infrage, wenn es nicht mal einen Unterschied zwischen „Möglich“ und „Unmöglich“ gibt?
Spannung ohne Hokuspokus. Eher unbequem als heroisch.
